Privacy Policy

OyVey Torah Portion does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

Network requests

To show the weekly portion and its text, the app requests public data from two services:

• Hebcal (hebcal.com) – the weekly portion schedule and today’s Hebrew date. The request includes only date ranges and whether you follow the Israel or outside-Israel schedule. No location is sent.
• Sefaria (sefaria.org) – the Hebrew text and English translation of the portion.

These requests contain no personal information. Like any web request, the services can see your IP address; please see their own privacy policies.

Data on your device

Your settings and the most recently loaded portions are saved only on your device (shared with the OyVey widget) so the app works offline. Deleting the app removes them.

Notifications

The optional Friday reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone.
